Super Girl!!

I'm not sure if it is actually possible, but we might have the best baby on the planet. Sorry everyone, we got her! Allison had her first shots on Friday afternoon. Of course she screamed bloody murder for about 3 minutes, she even had tears in both her eyes, but then it was over and you would have never known! She was jabbering happily by the time we left the Dr's office and that was it. Nothing more. We gave her some tylenol when we got home just to be safe, but she took a nap and woke up happy. Then we went to a bar-b-que for our small group (shout out!) and she played on a blanket most of the night. If anything she was a litle more mellow than she usually is. (could be the medicine) She slept fine that night and even when Jason took off the band aids the next day there was nothing. What an angel!! I'll keep my fingers crossed that it will always be that easy!

On other notes, Allison is growing into more toys each week. We pulled out the Jumper this weekend and she loves it! Watch-

Rock n Roll

Well our little girl is officially on the move! Last Thursday at Grammy's house she pushed herself over on accident. (from her back to her belly) She has been close to doing it for a while her arm just kept getting in the way. She did it again on Friday at her house and she has been rolling over ever since. It's really nice now when she sleeps she can roll back over. She used to get on her back and scare herself awake. She scoots all over her crib, rolling and creeping. She moves her legs back and forth like she is getting ready to crawl. We have to move the monitor because it doesn't show the whole crib and for some reason she loves to move to the part of the crib that we can't see in the screen. So I wake up and hear her but there is no baby on the screen. It makes me laugh sometimes.

She is sleeping great although the new schedule has been an adjustment for all of us. We started feeding her part Goat's Milk mixed with "mommy milk" during the day while she is at Grammy's. She doesn't need it on the weekends, but she sure is eating lots these days!

We have our first shots this coming Friday, poor thing! We are only getting 2 of them and she hasn't had any before now. (hence the "first shots") Anyway we talked with the Pediatrician last time and she is all for an alternative schedule. The only reason we are doing these shots is because I am around kids all day and whooping cough has come back. (our nursery at Church even had a breakout) She will be almost 4 months!

What can you buy for $1

I found this today and I couldn't pass it up, I love Target's dollar bins don't you? What's really funny is she is smiling b/c we are all laughing hysterically.

She also decided that swings are way more fun to chew on, realize that the swing is swinging at this point and she refused to sit back. This girl has some abs!

The Lake

My Aunt Carol came to visit us from Colorado. She met us at the lake and spent the weekend with us. She got some great pictures.

Doesn't it look like she is talking into a microphone??

My Dad is standing outside with her and they are looking in through the window, I don't know what she is staring at!

Great Aunt Carol got Allison her first Doll, she is licking it here, she loves it! Thanks Aunt Carol.

Allison is now looking forward to meeting her Great Grandma Butterbaugh and Great Aunt Joanne, bring on the kisses!

It's been a while

Well it's been over a week, I know. We are in the middle of our third week of school (my fourth week back at work) and it has been CRAZY!! My Mom is watching Allison which has been wonderful. I know I am very lucky to have the ability to do that. Totally God's provision. School has been pretty stressful but I'm hoping it will settle down some in the weeks to come.

Allison has been growing and changing....look!

She does this in her crib too!

Milestones

This week has been eventful in little Allison's life! First on Saturday night we dedicated her at church. She was such a cutie! Here's some pics and a short clip of the big event.

Then that night she slept all the way through the night. I don't mean 5 or 6 hours, it was 11 hours!!!! The angel has always been a wonderful sleeper, but holy cow! I thought she was going to wake up after 9 hours, she was making noises and rolled to her side. But when I got in her room she had rolled back to her stomach and was quite. I went to take care of some personal matters and she continued to stay asleep. So I layed back down and 2 hours later she woke up for real! I had joked when Jason was putting her to bed and told her, "You don't have to wake up tonight if you don't want to!" Apparently she understood every word! :)

If that wasn't enough on Sunday night (the night before I went back to work) She slept for 9 hours! I'm not counting on this becoming a permanent thing, but I'll take whatever I can get!

Speaking of going back to work, that was today. She did sleep for 9 hours but she woke up right in the middle of me trying to get ready. This morning I had to pump , take a shower, and pack her bags for the day, so I wasn't expecting that little interruption. I was a little rushed but I finally made it. It was a great feeling driving up to my mom's to pick up my little girl.

Vacation's over, back to work!

Before I have to go back to work Jason took a few vacation days and we went up to the lake and just relaxed. We were there almost 5 days and got a chance to unwind a little. Although to tell you the truth it felt like I was just getting unwound and it was time to leave. But we had a good time. Here we are in our usual mode of travel to the beach. She almost always falls asleep before we even get there! Little one has been talking to her toys, to people, to the air, just whatever! She has also found that her fingers are great for sucking. She has even begun sucking the same 2 middle fingers that I used to when I was little.

Tonight we went and watched Jonathan during band practice. On the way Jason was in the back with Allison and he had her lion (which she loves dearly) pulled down and she was reaching out and grabbing the legs. On purpose! She did it over and over, I was impressed!

I start work full time on Monday, but I am going in today (Thurs) and tomorrow to get my classroom set up. She did great at Grammy's house, she even took a 4 hour nap!! She has never done that at home!!

Here she is on her 2 month b-day. I'm going to take a picture every month in the same pose
Here are some pictures from her 6 week pictures. Sorry for the glare

And last here is a picture of me on the right and Allison on the left. I have a few others of me as a baby in a book that I show people and everyone thinks they are pictures of Allison!
