Deep in the Heart Of Texas

Jason's Grandparents (his Mom's side) live in San Angelo. So we took a trip to see them a few weekends ago. Allison falls asleep really well in the car, so we were interested to see how the 5 hour trip went. Hmmm, not that great. She fell asleep fine, but only slept 30 minutes at a time. So She took 2 thirty min. naps during the entire trip. It was nice to get away for the weekend. The trip back was about the same, although I drove much more on the way home. Here are some pics.

Proof that Jason did the dishes. Acutally since we have been back Jason has done the dishes almost every night! Incredible!!

4 months

Our little girl is developing a little personality! She responds to us and it is so cute to watch. When I pick her up in the afternoon she smiles and smiles, and she does the same when Jason gets home. She loves to watch the dogs run around and likes watching TV too. (Baby Einstein is her favorite) We thought we had lost her favorite dolly but found we had left it at a friends and she was so glad to have it back!

Last weekend I got to go to Canton and do some hardcore shopping. It was a blast. I got a little something for me, the baby, the dogs, and decorations for the house. This weekend we are traveling to San Angelo to see Jason's grandparents. I am looking forward to a slow weekend in the country! I have off of school on Monday too which means I get to spend the day with my baby!!

Speaking of, Jason got to spend all day with the baby this last Monday b/c it rained and he didn't have to work. They came up to school and had lunch with me. It was a lot of fun! And my close friend just had her baby a week ago so it will be fun when our babies can play together. My mom is actually going to watch her baby in between Thanksgiving and Christmas so she doesn't have to pay for daycare for the weeks we aren't in school. I don't think he will be old enough yet, but it will be a good start for them :) Here are some current shots, as well as Allison's 4 month picture. I love some of the diapers I have gotten, so I figured we could just take some pics. in those!!

Super Girl!!

I'm not sure if it is actually possible, but we might have the best baby on the planet. Sorry everyone, we got her! Allison had her first shots on Friday afternoon. Of course she screamed bloody murder for about 3 minutes, she even had tears in both her eyes, but then it was over and you would have never known! She was jabbering happily by the time we left the Dr's office and that was it. Nothing more. We gave her some tylenol when we got home just to be safe, but she took a nap and woke up happy. Then we went to a bar-b-que for our small group (shout out!) and she played on a blanket most of the night. If anything she was a litle more mellow than she usually is. (could be the medicine) She slept fine that night and even when Jason took off the band aids the next day there was nothing. What an angel!! I'll keep my fingers crossed that it will always be that easy!

On other notes, Allison is growing into more toys each week. We pulled out the Jumper this weekend and she loves it! Watch-

Rock n Roll

Well our little girl is officially on the move! Last Thursday at Grammy's house she pushed herself over on accident. (from her back to her belly) She has been close to doing it for a while her arm just kept getting in the way. She did it again on Friday at her house and she has been rolling over ever since. It's really nice now when she sleeps she can roll back over. She used to get on her back and scare herself awake. She scoots all over her crib, rolling and creeping. She moves her legs back and forth like she is getting ready to crawl. We have to move the monitor because it doesn't show the whole crib and for some reason she loves to move to the part of the crib that we can't see in the screen. So I wake up and hear her but there is no baby on the screen. It makes me laugh sometimes.

She is sleeping great although the new schedule has been an adjustment for all of us. We started feeding her part Goat's Milk mixed with "mommy milk" during the day while she is at Grammy's. She doesn't need it on the weekends, but she sure is eating lots these days!

We have our first shots this coming Friday, poor thing! We are only getting 2 of them and she hasn't had any before now. (hence the "first shots") Anyway we talked with the Pediatrician last time and she is all for an alternative schedule. The only reason we are doing these shots is because I am around kids all day and whooping cough has come back. (our nursery at Church even had a breakout) She will be almost 4 months!

What can you buy for $1

I found this today and I couldn't pass it up, I love Target's dollar bins don't you? What's really funny is she is smiling b/c we are all laughing hysterically.

She also decided that swings are way more fun to chew on, realize that the swing is swinging at this point and she refused to sit back. This girl has some abs!

The Lake

My Aunt Carol came to visit us from Colorado. She met us at the lake and spent the weekend with us. She got some great pictures.

Doesn't it look like she is talking into a microphone??

My Dad is standing outside with her and they are looking in through the window, I don't know what she is staring at!

Great Aunt Carol got Allison her first Doll, she is licking it here, she loves it! Thanks Aunt Carol.

Allison is now looking forward to meeting her Great Grandma Butterbaugh and Great Aunt Joanne, bring on the kisses!

It's been a while

Well it's been over a week, I know. We are in the middle of our third week of school (my fourth week back at work) and it has been CRAZY!! My Mom is watching Allison which has been wonderful. I know I am very lucky to have the ability to do that. Totally God's provision. School has been pretty stressful but I'm hoping it will settle down some in the weeks to come.

Allison has been growing and changing....look!

Sisters chatting

She does this in her crib too!
